Our Partners

ThorpeWood partners with schools and youth organizations from the surrounding region including central Maryland, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. Our current partnerships and programs include:

  • Southwest Baltimore Charter School
    a reading intervention program for the school’s 2nd and 3rd grade boys who are significantly behind in their reading skills
  • Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, Frederick County Office
    a program to increase problem-solving and decision-making skills for young women aged 13-19
  • Washington (DC) Jesuit Academy
    a leadership and personal responsibility program with the school’s 7th and 8th grade boys. (Learn more about our Washington Jesuit Academy parternship by watching our short online video.)
  • Heather Ridge Middle School
    a personal growth and leadership program for the Frederick County, MD alternative school’s young men and women
  • Antietam Academy
    a conflict resolution skill-building program for girls of the Washington County, MD alternative middle school

Support for our education programs is provided by a combination of resources including foundation grants, donations by generous contributors, and revenues from event use of ThorpeWood’s facilities.
